LO18FKJ Horrendous Experience Horrendous Company
Before I start I would suggest people read the replies from the reviews as this says more about the company than the actual reviews as they take zero ownership.

I walked out their showroom on 6th October with a car I was happy with left a review within days on Judge Service saying good experience oh how I was wrong.

Within 10 days car had numerous faults. 1. Faulty rear tail gate, 2. Engine management light on, 3. Restricted Performance Error message, 4. Smell of Diesel coming through air vents. Warranty is useless doesn't cover the cost of labour I work away so when I got home chased the repairs up and asked when my finance would come out bank as I had zero communication from finance company.

Turns out they let me leave the garage and have a car 3 weeks and the documents I signed weren't finance ones they sent me new Finance documents but rates and per month were all wrong.

The CEO Paul contacted me directly to say they had sacked the Advisor ASHLEY and asked me to sign the e documents, I advised that I was happy to sign as long as the car got repaired 1st as it was not fit for purpose in current condition constantly going into limp mode at this point PAUL became aggressive and advised he was sending 3 men up to collect HIS car, I advised he can have his FAULTY car back (LO18FKJ Land Rover Discovery Sport) as long as all monies owed to me where paid, now the offered monies paid after they got the car NOPE they offered a cheque NOPE they offered half & half NOPE, I refused all apart from direct bank transfer as I didn't trust them,

7 days pass and various emails and aggressive phone calls to me before they say they will send a transporter up for it when in fact 2 elderly men turn up (lovely guys) look at the car and call PAUL who tells me my Monies are wired to my bank in his is usual aggressive tone.

He moans about Mileage that's been done and no doubt their reply will say this.

All in all worst experience ever buying a car 12th November it went back and I can guarantee that if I had finance in place there was no way they would have taken the car back.

irresponsible company
Delivered a car 4 days after than purchase and withour logbook claiming it is lost. Since it was Sunday and postoffice could not tax the car, I had to take half day off next day. Car had scratches, two owners instead of one that they said , 2 keys instead of 1 (again descriptions' error). AA report is pretty basic (without HPI clear certificate so I presume that a car could be stolen since no second key, two owners instead of one and no logbook) and did not check battery (which was so low that start sto system did not even work) . Last but not least : a19sales@affordable-cars. co . uk which is the email for their site is FULL and does not accept emails/complaints. Overall a speedy transaction and a good service
So far so good 😊
First visit nearly put me off with the fact the car he no logbook ( easily resolved) and when faults were pointed out, a bit of a cheeky response but I guess that’s just salesman banter. Need to pop in as the car hasn’t had a valet, simple enough to just call in and get a spring clean. Good but needs more when selling top brand motors.
I took delivery of my car having bought the vehicle with out viewing live due to Covid. Although Andy sent me a good / in-depth video of the car and talked me through it.
•However after a couple days it became clear that the seat belts were absolutely disgusting and had been missed on the valet.
•The car did not have cruise control which had been stated in the advert which was a huge disappointment.
•Good communication from sales team.
• generally happy with car when forgetting the above bits. • a couple of small cosmetic things in cockpit.

First Class
Used car salesrooms would not survive if they relied on me. I tend to keep a car until it rusts into the tarmac. So taking the step to replace a car is , for me, quite a stressful experience. I can only describe my experience with Patrick as stress free. Personable, friendly and knowledgeable I couldn`t fault his interaction with me. He even broke the news about the value of my part ex car with some sympathy and I understood the reasons. My salesman Andrew was a very slick and efficient individual. However I felt he lacked flexibility when putting the deal together commenting several times “This is the way we do things” I felt like I was being processed as opposed to working hard to have my needs met. Had a great experience with AC, this was my second car purchase and it was really simple - reserved online, viewed the next day and I was called to arrange delivery less than 30 minutes after the payment went through - home delivery within 3 hours, which is really convenient! Thank you to Andrew who was very patient and helped with the paperwork and for Paul for arranging a very quick delivery slot for me. Everything was also very COVID safe, the car was cleaned before and after I looked at/sat in it - overall great experience and I can’t wait for my car to be delivered. Okay, not the best.
Very long process with buying the car, not sure if their fault. However car had a chip in windscreen ( quite large ) this was not mentioned. You’d think buying a car from a garage like themselves you’d be getting a pretty clean car. On further inspection, sticky Percy pigs sweets under the seats and other bits of food. Obviously not cleaned properly. Can’t view a car because of Covid restrictions, however if you give them money then you can view? Yeah okay!!?
Bit of a shit garage in all fareness. Lazy people!

Terrible experience
When realising the car was faulty. We politely asked for a refund under the 14 days policy. However we were greeted with a very rude and angry response. The manager lied over the phone on several occasions and insisted that we cannot have a refund and that we should have checked the vehicle properly. Due to covid restrictions we were unable to see the interior and when we received the car we realised the numerous amounts of faults which I believe were carefully hidden by the company. Overall an absolute terrible experience. The phone call has left me shaken and upset. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Zero fuel in car on delivery
I had a pleasant and easy going experience with Affordable cars, I was happy with the car I purchased and found it to be good value for money.. However, on delivery via tow the car had zero fuel in. It was beyond the light coming on. I live in a bit of a rural area and driving to the nearest fuel station with the car running on empty was not ideal and not the first experience I would have expected in my new car. I was looking for a hybrid Mercedes on the internet and came across Affordable Cars. Having spoken to one of the sales team (Andrew) I put a reserve on a car. Next day I went to view the car and the whole experience in these trying times was very smooth and professional. Horrendous customer service
Purchase made over the phone. All details given by salesman were written down for my own records. When car arrived there were some differences, mainly being a missing key and a medium sized scratch that hadn’t been disclosed. When contacted regarding this I was called a liar by 2 members of staff, and told that the damage to the car was ‘tough’ as it was used. The scratch I can accept and fix but the fact they advised me wrongly about it, and told me the wrong amount of keys I would receive and then called me a liar is just disappointing.
Abysmal attitude and does nothing for the image of used car sales people.
Apparently being lied to by sales staff is now the customers fault....
